Ten versatile surfaces and finishes for interior spaces


Dezeen Showroom: carpets informed by polluted rivers and tiles that draw inspiration from traditional ceramics are the latest interior finishes to be featured on Dezeen Showroom.

Also included are wool and linen upholstery fabric by Camira, a mix-and-match range of clay tiles by New Terracotta and a selection of linoleum flooring by Tarkett.

Dezeen Showroom lists a wide assortment of wall, floor and surface treatments from a variety of internationally renowned manufacturers and brands.

Plastic Rivers Rug by Álvaro Catalán de Ocón for Gan

Designer Álvaro Catalán de Ocón collaborated with Spanish brand Gan to create a collection of rugs depicting four important waterways and their topographic surroundings.

Plastic Rivers mats are handcrafted from 100% recycled PET plastic fibers to raise awareness of pollution in the world’s waterways.

Tarkett Lino flooring by Tarkett

Tarkett has updated and relaunched its range of classic linoleum floors, originally launched in 1898, to meet the needs of contemporary users.

The Tarkett Lino range includes an array of new colours, shades and patterns which can be used to cover floors, walls and furniture.

Doge Tiles by Halcon Ceramicas

Spanish tile manufacturer Halcon Ceramics created its range of Doge tiles to pay homage to the Doge’s Palace in Venice, whose floor is made of crushed marble and stone fragments.

The brand has taken the Palace flooring and created a more installable and compatible iteration available in neutral tones with matte finishes.

Materials manufacturer Sustonable has designed its versatile collection of Sustonable surfaces to be suitable for application on walls, floors, worktops and furniture.

Finishes are hard-wearing and come in a range of patterns, including those that mimic traditional stone finishes such as marble and terrazzo.

British textile brand Camira developed its Main Line Twist upholstery fabric as “a fresh take on tweed”, according to the brand.

The tactile fabric is made of a combination of wool and linen and is available in 15 colours.
