Richard “Rich” P. Ritter, talented interior designer

Richard “Rich” P. Ritter, 80, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2022. He was born September 4, 1942, in Jersey City, NJ, the eldest son of the late Harold V. Ritter Sr. and Florence H. (Zriny) Ritter.

Originally from New Jersey, he grew up in Guttenberg and later moved to Waretown, before settling in Rehoboth Beach. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. As a painter and interior designer, her career has brought her great joy in helping to create beautiful spaces for people. He also enjoyed antiquing a lot, giving his time to help people in need and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, partner and friend who will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved friend Henry J. Wojtowitz; and his brother Robert W. Ritter. He is survived by his youngest brother, Harold V. Ritter Jr.; his sister-in-law, Patricia M. Ritter; his nieces, Christine R. Hogsten, Colleen M. Cabaud and Karen M. Corbett; as well as five great-nieces and three great-nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes.
