Korean interior styling platform Interior Teacher attracts Series A investment

The Korean interior design market is growing rapidly at around 11% CAGR, and startups that are innovating in the field are attracting investors’ attention. korean startup’Interior Co., Ltd. completed a Series A investment worth 4.5 billion won ($3.4 million) for its high-end styling platform Interior Teacher.

Hana Ventures led this investment, and Korea Investment Partners, Naver, Strong Ventures, Hana Financial Investment, BSK Investment and Delta Investment participated.

‘Interior Teacher’, which connects clients and designers who want a home style; customers can check their space in 3D through surveys and face-to-face services and buy furniture at any budget.

Choose your style, your designer and your budget

The Interior Teacher service is provided to the client through a simple process, where the client can upload the photo of the space he wants to design with the description of the basic measures. The customer can give details of the existing furniture and the budget for the purchase of new furniture. Interior Teacher also suggests that clients send in design style references if they have any.

Interior Teacher’s platform includes realistic 3D designs and detailed descriptions of the client’s home styling. The platform also lists recommended furniture that can be purchased online. The platform allows the user to view the designer’s portfolio and receive design services after successful consultation.

Interior Teacher was launched in early 2021, and consolidates its position as a high-end home styling service. The platform has surpassed 1 billion won in monthly trading volume in a year and a half since its inception, and currently around 70 professional home style designers are active. Interior Teacher’s main income comes from furniture sales commissions and design commissions.

Interior Teacher’s styling service is chosen by high earners and celebrities. The platform has helped design spaces such as Busan L City, Hannam The Hill, SIGNIEL and Tower Palace.

The startup has been selected for its innovative service for several competitive and ceremonial plaques and TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for startup Korea). The company wants to extend the style service to new high-end apartments and homes under construction

By 2023, Interior Teacher wants to upgrade the current platform, expand the market, and have additional human and marketing resources for AI design development.
