When everything in your home, from baseboards to towels to storage bins, is tied together, your space looks expensive and professionally designed. But buying multiple matching items can add up.

Joe Ferguson, a carpenter and interior designer at Skirtings R Us, likes Costco because the wholesaler stocks many items in bundles or pairs. “That means from sheets to plates, from duvets to towels, you get most of them in a uniform style,” he says. “For kitchens, our must-haves are storage boxes, drawer organizers and linens. Candles are wonderful to have in bundles and can easily be used to decorate,” he adds.

Interior layout with good lighting

Although the lamps themselves may seem insignificant, lighting has a huge impact on the look of a room. “Choosing the right lighting can be a win for your home’s design and functionality. There are a variety of lighting styles available at Costco,” says the Floor360 interior designer. Autumn Stankovsky. She loves the Cabo Arc floor lamp for complementing a mid-century modern style, and she notes that its three swing arms are perfect for filling an open space. For a tabletop, she says the Stylecraft Carrena Table Lamp brings “a touch of shine to your space.”

Chris Alexis, interior designer and founder of Cabinet Select, is a fan of the two-pack of Oliver metal table lamps. “You can incorporate these lamps on your coffee table or a dresser; they enhance any place by adding a rustic and glamorous element,” he explains. Almost all Costco lamps and fixtures are under $200, and many ring up under $100.

Finding a place for everything creates a home that’s as good to look at as it is to live in. Stankovsky says decluttering is especially important in the kitchen and loves the carts Costco sells for this room. “A metal cart with a bamboo top can suit an industrial or farmhouse kitchen, a white cart with a wooden top suits a coastal style, and a stainless steel cart suits a minimalist style kitchen. When wheels are added, you can store it aside and take it out as needed,” she shares.

Interior decorator Stephane Bucur agrees that kitchen carts are a particularly good Costco buy, noting that they’re “the same quality products you can find at places like the Container Store but at a much better price.” He also says that Costco generally has a better stock of carts than other stores.

As for the bedroom, “Some of their dressers or storage options are both gorgeous and economical,” according to Grace Baena, interior designer at Kaiyo. “The Rivina Nightstand 2-Pack is a standout product – it looks good, is well made, and offers tons of storage.”

Outdoor furniture, as well as accessories and appliances like fire pits and grills, probably cost more than you think. But that’s where Costco comes in. “The area where they really do best with these products is patios. You can get everything from patio furniture to outdoor pizza ovens to full-size gazebos at Costco,” says Todd SaundersCEO of FlooringStores.

Lacy Garcia, an interior designer who runs the TikTok account CostcoHomeAndDesign, shared a video showing how she outfitted an entire outdoor space with the brand’s in-store and online finds. She used an outdoor sunshade, “smart” orb lights, colorful pillows and a stack of striped resort towels to transform a Florida garden into a breezy oasis.

Plants and flowers are other elements that add a perfect look to the beautiful spaces we see in magazines. “Costco is a great place to go anytime you need beautiful flowers and plants at a great price,” Bucur says. And their fake plants are a huge hit. TikTok account CostcoHotFinds showcased its artificial banana tree, and the video has been viewed over 128,000 times. It even inspired a full article on Apartment Therapy.

Attractive, high-quality bedding often comes at a luxury price tag, but the pros know that Costco has some great deals in that department. interior stylist Kiva Brent shared a YouTube video with her favorite decorating finds at Costco, which includes pillows “with just the right amount of fluff” and Calvin Klein sheets.

Mattresses are another item that can be pricey, but Costco offers the famous bed brand in a Casper box, and Brent says it’s almost always cheaper than other stores. They also sell other brands of boxed mattresses like Leesa, as well as their own brand Kirkland and others like Sealy and Tempur-Pedic. And unlike ordering them online or heading to a showroom, they’re right in the aisle for you to put in your shopping cart, notes Brent.

Fancy trash cans and chef-grade sinks might not be entirely necessary, but they make life easier and make our kitchens look amazing. One of Brent’s other favorite purchases is the Kohler Steel Trash Can (for a hack within a hack, Costco’s famous trash bags fit the box perfectly). The popular Kohler Cater sink, complete with custom accessories like a cutting board and basin supports, can be found for a fraction of the regular appliance store price.

Kitchen Wood Flooring

While we might not associate Costco with a home item like flooring, it’s a fabulous find for anyone looking for an affordable yet attractive flooring solution. “Hardwood is ideal for some, but most of us are looking for a floor that’s low maintenance, low hassle, and inexpensive. And that’s Costco Laminate Hardwood, Engineered Hardwood, and Hardwood. vinyl!” said Karisa Grimstadinterior designer at Petite Modern Life.

Grimstad explains that Costco flooring comes with an excellent return policy and goes on sale very often. She also notes that if you make a large purchase like this and have the Gold Star or Business subscriptions, you’ll get some money back.
