JOB SUMMARY
The designer will assist in the creative design of high-end interior residential projects and the streamlining of design solutions
to decision makers. Responsibilities include all phases of production across multiple projects simultaneously, from
schematic design, coordination with suppliers, consultants, contractors and customers.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages the organization of project files, documents, material boxes and photos
• Prepares presentations, including material panels and digital presentations
• Helps create construction documents, plans, elevations, details and specifications
• Purchases and schedules deliveries under the direction of senior team members
• Coordinates contractors and professional services, including but not limited to movers, upholstery, draperies,
painters, cabinetmakers and wallpaper installers
• Prepares product/service quotes and purchases, including tracking and setting up deliveries
• Develops professional relationships with suppliers, showrooms and manufacturers with the senior team
• Maintains a sample library and researches new products, suppliers, etc.
• Sources/specifies the guidelines provided (materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment) to be reviewed by the responsible
Members of the team
• Create sketches
• Maintains and updates project documents including furniture list, budget, schedule, task list, contacts
• Assist in project coordination alongside the senior team, which may require direct communication with clients
• Prepares materials for shipment to customers
• Assists with field measurements, site meetings, presentations, move-ins, photo shoots, etc.
• Performs research as needed
• Knowledge of materials (fabrics, wood, metal, finishes) and product suppliers

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDES – REQUIRED
• 0-3 years of related work experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suites and G Suite • Effective time management and prioritization of assigned tasks
• Flexibility to switch between jobs and tasks
• Strong sense of self-motivation and attention to detail
• Demonstrates professional and clear communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the

• Regular and consistent attendance and ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours
per day and five (5) days per week.
• Physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, walk, crawl, push and pull objects weighing up to 20
pound sterling.
• Stand up and move around the office.
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to calculate rate, ratio and percentage.
• Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills in English;
• Interpret a variety of instructions provided in English in written, spoken, diagram or schedule form.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Consistently meet daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and other deadlines.
• Work under pressure with changing and ambiguous priorities.
• High level of manual dexterity to type and use computer equipment skillfully.
• Auditory and Visual Skills – Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work overtime occasionally at the last minute.


EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

The employee will be required to work 40 hours per week and must be available and on site during the “main” working hours of
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday.
