As Dusk Falls is a new graphic animation game from Interior/Night. It focuses on storytelling, told through still graphics that move.

CEO Caroline Marchal, Chief Creative Officer, spoke about the game during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. This is the first original game from the new studio. The game arrives on July 19.

She said stories help us understand the heartbreaking beauty of life. It’s written like a TV show with an animated graphic style. It shows a family vacationing on the road. They get into trouble and get stuck in a motel. Then, three thieves show up in an attempt to steal money from the safe in the place.

What happens that night leaves permanent scars, even for those who make it out alive. It reminds me of a Telltale game, but with a very different art style.
