Mahindra & Mahindra, the local automaker will launch new XUV300 facelift and electric XUV300 in the country in early 2023. Mahindra XUV300 2023 facelift has been tested many times. It will come with design changes and an upgraded interior along with a more powerful engine option.
2023 Mahindra XUV300 – Engine Specs
Mahindra had introduced the new mStallion gasoline engine series at Auto Expo 2020. The company had unveiled the 1.2L, 1.5L and 2.0L turbo gasoline engines. The 2.0L engine debuted on the new Thar lifestyle SUV and was also offered with the XUV700. In fact, the next Scorpio will also feature this engine. the The smaller capacity 1.2L turbo engine will debut in the 2023 Mahindra XUV300.
The company had introduced the XUV300 Sportz with the new 1.2L mStallion engine; however, this variant has not yet been launched in our market. The new engine features direct injection and cylinder heads with integrated exhaust manifolds for improved performance and efficiency. These engines comply with updated BSVI emission standards, which will be introduced in 2023.
The new 1.2L T-GDI engine is capable of producing 130hp and 230Nm of torque, which is 20hp and 30Nm more than the current 1.2L turbo petrol engine. The new engine will likely be offered on the higher-end variants, while the lower spec model could continue with the existing engine. The diesel version will continue to be offered with the 1.5L engine. Instead of an AMT, the new XUV300 facelift could also get a proper automatic gearbox (torque converter or DCT).
2023 Mahindra XUV300 – Design and interior
The new XUV300 will receive design changes in line with the new XUV700. It is expected to have a bolder design, featuring a larger, bolder grille with larger vertical chrome slats. It is expected to receive full LED headlights, revised taillights and new alloy wheels.
The 2023 Mahindra XUV300 facelift will come with an all-new interior, featuring an all-new dashboard and higher quality materials for a premium look. It will come with a new touchscreen infotainment system, which will likely come from the XUV700. The touchscreen is likely to use a similar design for the user interface and technology offered on the XUV700’s infotainment.
Mahindra has officially announced that the new facelift XUV300 will be launched before the end of this fiscal year which runs from April 2022 to March 2023. It is expected to be launched in December 2022 or January 2023.
